Robert C. Williams Insurance Agency, Inc., was established in 1958 by Robert Williams. Located at 523 Scott Street, Wilkes-Barre, the business is now owned and operated by Robert’s children, Rick and Barbara Williams.

Rick and Barbara wanted to continue the business their dad started because they liked how the insurance business allowed them to listen to and learn from all types of businesspeople. They’ve learned to be “advisors” to their customers, by creating insurance coverages that are more valuable than do-it-yourself, online products. Being trusted insurance agents is rewarding to Rick and Barbara because it allows them to map out a strategy for risk reduction that can contribute to their customers’ businesses.

Rick and Barbara pride themselves on the longevity of their company, especially since they have been able to retain the next generation of their father’s clients. They like keeping their business local due to the long-term relationships they have developed. They decided to become members of the Back Mountain Chamber because they have good friends and customers who are long time members of the chamber.
