This damage caused the fair to be closed 2.5 days which was a tremendous loss for the vendors and the nonprofit clubs who organize and volunteer at the fair each year. These are the volunteers who create the magic at the fair each year!\n\nAfter many days and hours of clean-up and crunching numbers the Luzerne County Fair experienced a tremendous loss. The fair lost $250K in revenue and has suffered $550K in damages from the flooding. Over $700K in losses. While these losses would be significant within any organization\, it was substantial for the Luzerne County Fair.\n\nConcert for a Cause will donate the proceeds of this event to: Lake Silkworth Lions\, Dallas Rotary\, Dallas Kiwanis\, Harveys Lake Lions\, Your Dash 365\, Dallas Lions\, Luzerne County 4-H\, Lake Lehman Band Sponsors\, Boy Scout Troup 967\, Northwest Study Abroad\, Penn State Baseball\, Youth With A Mission\, Boy Scout Troop 241\, Back Mountain Fire\, Back Mountain Regional Fire and EMS\, and Mission Cheer Academy.\n\nAll of these clubs count on the support of the fair to put the fair proceeds back into our local community. Some of their events include: Christmas Shopping for underprivileged children\, Dictionary Program -providing dictionaries to local students\, food donations to the Back Mountain Food Pantry\, meals for local families in need year-round\, Youth Leadership Camps\, and so much more.
