Back Mountain Chamber Launches its 2017 Spring Food Drive

The Back Mountain Chamber, in conjunction with its members, local merchants, area schools, banks, and more, has launched its 2017 Spring Food Drive which will benefit the Back Mountain Food Pantry.

"The Back Mountain Chamber once again asks its members and the public to support our Spring Food Drive.  All food and monetary donations will benefit the Back Mountain Food Pantry, and help it to further the objective of neighbors helping neighbors.  Please give generously at one of our drop off locations." said Tom Mosca President of the Chamber. 

The Chamber’s goal is to collect several tons of food for families in the Dallas and Lake Lehman School Districts.  All non-perishable items are being accepted.  Monetary donations can be made out to the Back Mountain Food Pantry and mailed directly to the Back Mountain Chamber at 1192 Twin Stacks Drive, Dallas, PA  18612.  All monetary donations will be delivered to the Food Pantry along with the food donations. 

Bill & Sandy Race, Co-Chairs for the 2017 Spring Food Drive, helped to kick off the food drive at the Back Mountain Food Panty.  The youth  from the Trucksville United Methodist Church were invited to hear an explanation of the food drive and were asked to help spread the word.  This year’s food drive will run March 18^th– April 8^th, 2017.  Collection containers will be placed at the following locations, and the Committee expects to add a few more locations:
