Joe's Earlybird 5K

Join us for Joe's Earlybird 5K at Kirby Park on Sunday, September 22, 2024. This event is dedicated to Joe a beloved community member who is courageously battling esophageal cancer. Many of you know him as the Executive Editor of the Times Leader newspaper, where he has worked since 1989. As Joe faces this challenging journey, he faces significant medical costs. The Joe's Earlybird 5K aims to raise funds to support Joe and his family with these expenses, ensuring he receives the best possible care. Registration begins at 7:00am 5K starting at 8:00am 1 mile fun walk starts at 8:10am Joe is an avid runner and can't wait to get back out there - bright or dark and early in the morning!! This run is dedicated to him and his love of the early morning run with his favorite Fit Chicks. #ugh Tee shirts will also be available to the first 175 participants - so let's set our alarms and get our butt moving for this wonderful individual who is fighting so incredibly hard!!
