An interview with Marian DeAngelis, Co-Founder and Treasurer of Your Dash 365.

Tell us about your organization, your team and the people you serve:
We are based in the Back Mountain and serve Northeastern PA and the east coast through our volunteers located in Delaware, South Carolina, and New Jersey. 

Your Dash 365, a non-profit entity, is working hard to bring trust back to the public with their donations. We are passionate about Your Dash 365 because donations are used effectively and efficiently for each initiative. We are here to help make our community and Earth a better place to live. We raise and distribute funds for first responders, military, community, marine life and more. We are the full non-profit umbrella covering all aspects of philanthropy. (We serve all.)   

Our board and committees are diverse. We have veterans, law enforcement, business professionals, and educators; all people who help and protect the community. We are especially passionate about using all donations effectively and efficiently within the communities where we live and work.

We are a relatively new organization and we are so pleased with the impact we have been able to make so far!  We recently volunteered at the Taste of the Fair event in September, some of our members help the environment through beach clean-up work and we've been able to present donations to some of our local law enforcement in appreciation of their daily service.

Why did you decide to join the Back Mountain Chamber?
We are hoping to learn even more about our community and its needs through the Chamber. The Chamber offers us an opportunity to connect with other individuals, businesses and organizations that want to help. 

What types of service projects is Your Dash 365 working on?
A few of our endeavors include:
 

• One Mission “Salute” Program: We believe early intervention is key to keeping our soldiers and veterans mentally healthy, while dealing with the heavy burden of serving our country and their sacrifices. The One Mission “Salute” Program is focused on suicide prevention and early crisis intervention for individuals in the military. We are filling in the gaps of service for those who served from the minute our troops enter the hospitals or counseling center and as they transition back into everyday life. We’ve developed a veteran-to-veteran, troop-to-troop support system, and we believe having a familiar and military experienced shoulder to lean on and ear to listen is the first step in healing. We provide this service to each member interested in our program. 
  
  Your Dash 365 will also help connect anyone in this program to all the services available at the Veterans Affairs (VA) and community networks. Peer-to-peer support may lessen the suicide rate and mitigate addiction issues while providing a safe place to turn, and having someone who understands and who can walk them through the darkness to a better, healthier mindset is priceless

• Back the Blue Signage Fundraiser: You have likely seen these signs in yards across the community and you might have wondered where people were getting them! This “Back the Blue” signage campaign is in support of our local law enforcement who serve our communities every day. These signs are $10 each and proceeds will go to law enforcement charities like Camp Cadet Troop P (which covers Luzerne, Wyoming, Sullivan and Bradford counties) and Back Mt. Police Association.
